During her military career, Sergeant Major Sellers served as Director of the Retention Management Division for U.S. Army Forces Command, Training and Doctrine Command, and Eighth Army, advising senior leadership on enterprise-wide workforce strategy. She led operations across 16 installations, managed a $1 million budget, and directed a 125-person organization, contributing to 23 consecutive years of retention success. She later supported implementation of the Army Career Tracker, a career-development system serving more than 1.2 million soldiers and Army civilians.

Dr. Sellers currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Hampton Roads Community Action Program (HRCAP), where, as Vice Chair of the Strategic Planning and Resource Development Committees, she leads efforts to expand donor engagement, strengthen corporate partnerships, and build the infrastructure needed to sustain long-term organizational impact. She previously served as President of the Y.H. Thomas Community Center, Inc., leading a governance restructuring and comprehensive strategic plan that stabilized the organization during a critical transition period.

Dr. Sellers holds a Doctor of Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude), and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, where she earned Commandant’s List honors.

A recipient of the Legion of Merit and numerous additional military awards, Dr. Sellers remains deeply committed to advancing leadership development, education, and economic opportunity—particularly for women who have served in the Armed Forces.
