For those who missed last month’s session on “Diversity as a Force Multiplier,” with The Honorable Carrie Ricci (the 23rd General Counsel for the Army), you missed an amazing dialogue about the value people from diverse backgrounds bring to the Army and every organization. Honorable Ricci discussed the importance of leaders understanding, empathizing with, and respecting people from different cultures and upbringings, and how treating everyone with dignity and respect makes us the greatest Army and country in the world. Finally, she shared the Army’s plans for ensuring every Soldier and Civilian is afforded equal opportunities to flourish in and with the Army.
This month, the FMMP Executive Board is excited to host our next session on 22 Aug from 1800-1730 (EST) where we will introduce you to the TRADOC Women’s Initiative Team (WIT-T).
The WIT-T, led by Mr. Bryan Carroll and his awesome team of “Heroes and Sheroes”, has quickly become one of the Army’s premier platforms for researching issues and making updates to Army policies and procedures impacting women in and out of uniform. TRADOC designated the FMMP as one of the WIT-T Focus Areas, relying on the FMMP to provide feedback directly from the field, on changes needed to Army regulations and programs. Join us this month to learn how to contribute to the WIT-T and FMMP missions.
