The U.S. Army Women’s Foundation held its 9th Annual Army Women’s Summit at the Capitol Visitors Center, Congressional Auditorium, Washington, DC on Wednesday, March 8th, from 12 PM – 4:45 PM. This event was followed by the 2017 Army Women’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, at the Rayburn Building, 5-6:30 PM.
This year’s Summit theme was Evolving Opportunities for Army Women: Equip – Empower – Engage. The afternoon featured distinct panelists who equipped attendees with information, while also providing practical tools and tactics to empower them. Guests experienced two panel conversations that focused on “Army Experiences of Extraordinary Women” as well as “Opportunities in the Civilian Sector.”
Our guest speakers included LTG (Ret) Patricia Horoho, the former Surgeon General of the Army, and MG Hugh Van Roosen, Deputy Chief of Staff for the G1.
