Legacy Scholarships Named in Honor of Fort Hood Fallen Women

The Army Women’s Foundation extends our deepest sympathy to the families of the soldiers who died during the tragic shooting at Fort Hood. We are grateful for their service to our country.

On behalf of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, we will name a scholarship in honor of each of the Army women who lost their lives at Fort Hood. This is but a small way to commemorate their contributions to our country.

The Foundation’s Legacy scholarship program is designed to help our Army women and their lineal descendents achieve their educational goals and dreams. Many women joined the Army to serve their country and to reach new heights in their personal aspirations. Education ranks high for so many soldiers.

The Foundation will announce the recipients of the Legacy scholarships on March 17, 2010 at our Transitions Symposium on Capitol Hill.

Our deepest condolences to the families and the Fort Hood community.
