BRONZE MEMORIAL PLAQUE

The Bronze Memorial Plaque Program offers the opportunity to permanently honor deceased members of the Armed Forces, their friends and family, or Museum and Foundation donors/volunteers by placing their name on a bronze plaque.    Donations in any amount are welcome and will be held until the amount required for the individual minimum, $100.00, is reached. You may also designate your donation to any individual who needs their pledge amount completed.

Plaque XIII has been completed and includes names that were submitted from January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2006. Click here to view a pamphlet that includes a complete list of names on the plaque and selected biographical sketches.

The photo shows the plaque dedicated in May 2005.  This plaque is located in the U.S. Army Women’s Museum Memorial Garden at Fort Lee.  The plaque recognizes both men and women, including 29 women who died as a result of their service in Afghanistan or Iraq.

The Memorial Plaques are dedicated at Army Women’s reunions held every two years.  The next reunion will be at Branson, Missouri May 18-20, 2007; a replica of the plaque will be dedicated in a memorial service during the reunion.
