PEGGY TROSSEN is the Executive Director of the Army Women’s Foundation.  She has been with AWF for over 19 years. Previously, she worked at the American Association of University Women as the Director of Development for the Education Foundation, as an Assistant Professor of Business Administration, and as Chair of the Department of Business Administration at George Washington University at Mount Vernon College. Peggy holds a Masters of Business Administration from Virginia Tech.

Responsible for individual and institutional development, board relations, corporate and Foundation outreach, building partnerships, strategic planning, research studies, meeting with leaders on Capitol Hill, and speaking engagements.

American Association of University Women (AAUW) –  1998 to 2004
Director of Development. Responsible for outreach, fundraising, new fundraising, initiatives for corporations, foundations, and individual gifts. Responsible for all aspects of development for the AAUW educational foundation, the legal advocacy fund, and the American Association of University Women.

Trossen & Associates, Inc. – 1990 to 1998
Founder and principal of this women-owned consulting firm specializing in strategic marketing, public relations, and political and nonprofit fundraising. Activities and projects include assisting diverse nonprofits in board development, marketing and strategic planning, political fundraising, and special projects for senatorial, gubernatorial, and congressional candidates.  Served as Director of Marketing for MedTest Inc. and conducted economic feasibility studies.

Mount Vernon College at George Washington University – 1984 to 1990
Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Chair of the Development Department of Business Administration. Contributing editor to Euromonitor, a London-based publication reporting on American consumer products and consumer demographic characteristics for European corporate clients.
