LTC Roberts served more than 22 years in the U.S. Army, where she helped shape personnel policy for professional career development and later became an expert in Continuity of Operations for emergency planning. A graduate of Old Dominion University and Marshall University, LTC Roberts had assignments in Germany, Korea and the continental U.S.

She retired from the Army in December 2006, as the Personnel and Administrative Officer for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In that role, LTC Roberts served as the Chairman’s Emergency Planning Coordinator, and, working with other Joint Staff Directorates, instituted more efficient business processes that resulted in increased efficiency and effectiveness of emergency relocation reception procedures during Continuity of Operations (COOP) operations. Her duties also included serving as the senior personnel and administrative expert for the top five most senior military general and flag officers on the Joint Staff.

Following her Army career, LTC Roberts has continued to work in national defense and preparedness. She held positions involving Continuity of Operations and emergency response at the U.S. Senate, the Office of Personnel Management, and the Army Test and Evaluation Command. She is currently employed by SRA International Inc., as Senior Continuity of Operations Analyst and Emergency Planner for the Joint Staff.

LTC Roberts holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Old Dominion University, a Master’s Degree from Marshall University and earned a Certificate of Business Continuity Professional from Disaster Recovery Institute International.
