SGM Huron is Secretary of the Army Women’s Foundation.

SGM Huron is the Chief Security Officer and Division Director for Security, Office of Professional Responsibility at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. She joined ICE in October 2006 where she first served as the Unit Chief, Personnel Security Unit responsible for administering a personnel security and suitability program including all facets of the background investigation process from start to final adjudication. While the Unit Chief, Ms. Huron led the effort to consolidate four security offices into one in Farmers Branch, TX. As a result of her success, Ms. Huron was promoted to Division Director, OPR Security overseeing the internal security programs at ICE including personnel, physical, information, special security, field operations and the following programs: HSPD-12 and ICE Badge and Credential.

Prior to joining ICE, SGM Huron was assigned as the Associate Director, Personnel Security Division, Office of Security, at the Transportation Security Administration. Before TSA, SGM Huron served for over 25 years with the Department of the Army. She served on active duty for 23 years with the United States Army Military Police Corps where she attained the rank of Sergeant Major. During her career with the Army, she was assigned to Texas, Germany, Alabama, Hawaii, Haiti, and Washington, DC before retiring in August 2003. She had assignments as patrolwoman, investigator, desk sergeant, drill sergeant, drill sergeant instructor, platoon sergeant, operations sergeant, first sergeant, MP senior career advisor, and provost sergeant major.

Upon her retirement from the Army, she served as a senior security specialist with Computer Sciences Corporation with duty at the Pentagon under the direction of the Security, Force Protection, and Law Enforcement Division, Headquarters Department of the Army. Later, SGM Huron accepted an appointment as a security specialist with the Surety, Security and Intelligence Division, Headquarters, Army Test and Evaluation Command where she was the Command Law Enforcement Officer.

SGM Huron earned a Master of Arts degree in Security Management from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, Texas. She graduated from the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 51, Fort Bliss, Texas and is a graduate of the 2009 ICE Fellows Program.
